The V International Congress in Health Sciences Research 2025: From molecule to community (HSRCongress2025) will be hosted at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Beira Interior between 20th-22nd March 2025.
HSRCongress is a biannual three-day congress dedicated to basic, industrial and clinical biomedical research organized by Doctoral Students’ and Non-Doctoral Research Fellows’ Committee (CADBI) of Health Sciences Research Centre (CICS-UBI, in fusion process to become RISE-Health). This event will highlight the latest research and bring together national and international biomedical researchers and stakeholders, encouraging the development of new collaborations and new science-driven questions. Also, given its multidisciplinary, HSRCongress is a unique opportunity for young researchers to take their first steps in the scientific community.
HSRCongress2025 agenda includes plenary sessions, keynote talks, round-tables, and workshops. Moreover, entrepreneurial and clinical perspectives will be explored through the participation of renowned spokespersons of companies and medical doctors. This congress presents a unique and valuable occasion for the presentation of your latest scientific findings, with oral and poster presentations being welcomed on all congress topics:
- Topic 1 – Identification of molecular mechanisms underlying disease onset and progression
- Topic 2 – Identification of therapeutic targets
- Topic 3 – Development of novel drugs, biopharmaceuticals and biomaterials with therapeutic applications
- Topic 4 – Development and/or improvement of delivery systems
- Topic 5 – Development and/or improvement of diagnosis, prognosis and monitoring tools
The Health Sciences Faculty is situated in the charming city of Covilhã. Placed in the heart of Cova da Beira, Covilhã is a captivating city, surrounded by charming historic villages and the majestical views of Serra da Estrela and Serra da Gardunha. Beyond the scientific program, attendees are encouraged to explore the city's picturesque streets adorned with one of the world's largest and most diverse urban art collections, that tell the story of Covilhã, its people and of the successful wool industry that once defined Covilhã essence (www.visitcovilha.com). For those who appreciate the enchantment and exhilarating experiences of snow, just a few kilometers from Covilhã lies the highest point of Continental Portugal within the core of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park.
